Expedition

A professional high-altitude experience designed to help you reach the summit of Ojos del Salado, the highest active volcano on Earth. Our certified mountain guides provide safety, complete logistics, and a 10-day program that allows you to acclimatize, progress, and enjoy one of the most breathtaking landscapes in Chile.

1.Expedition Overview

Our route begins and ends at Copiapó Airport. Over 10 days, you will explore the highlands of Atacama, cross the Maricunga Salt Flat, stay at iconic refuges such as Santa Rosa, and ascend progressively until reaching the summit of Ojos del Salado and nearby 6,000-meter peaks.

3. Best Season

The expedition takes place between November and April, the months with the most stable weather in the Atacama highlands.

4. Group Size

  • Minimum: 1 participant
  • For groups of 4 or more: an additional guide and a cook are included to ensure safety and comfort.

5. Physical Requirements

Good physical condition is required, as the ascent involves hiking above 6,000 meters.
For participants without prior acclimatization, the full 10-day program is essential for a safe ascent.
